NEWS

One record company is really happy to put out music by Morrissey. Morrissey, who started The Smiths has signed a deal with Sire Records. This news comes from Rolling Stone. It has been three years since Morrisseys old record company, Capitol stopped an album that was already finished from being released.. It has been five years since BMG said they did not want to work with Morrissey anymore. Morrissey said this happened because of people managing him and because of diversity.
The people at BMG have picked an Executive. This new Executive at BMG does not want to make another album with Morrissey. He said this when he made a statement. The new Executive at BMG has ideas for BMG. They want to have different kinds of artists.Because of this all the plans to release Morrissey albums or old ones again have been stopped. This news is very bad. It is just like everything else that has been happening in 2020. The year 2020 has been really scary. This news is just another bad thing that has happened. The new Executive, at BMG and the plans they have made are the reason why Morrissey will not be releasing any music with BMG.
Morrissey has been talking about two albums that he already recorded after his 2020 album I am Not a Dog on a Chain. One of these albums is called Bonfire of Teenagers. It has some famous people on it like Chad Smith and Flea and Iggy Pop. The company Capitol was going to put out Bonfire of Teenagers. Then they decided not to. Morrissey said something about this to The Telegraph in 2024. He said that all the big record companies, in London do not want to release Bonfire of Teenagers even though they think it is really good. Morrissey said they think Bonfire of Teenagers is a masterpiece. “And although there is nothing insulting or antagonistic in the title track, label bosses say they are worried that The Guardian would make their lives hell if they supported any such social awareness.” Less is known about the second finished Moz album, You’re Right, It’s Time.
